• Adult is a dull yellowish brown beetle

• Grub bores the stem and forms central tunnel in the stem and root of host tree

Management

• Grubs can be removed from attacked roots by cutting down from the side of root at 40 cm below the ground
• Pushing petrol or dichlorvos through the exposed hole and ceiling with moist soil
